stonefacedrx.com - connecting users to estheticians who will create customized skincare plans
role: design, frontend, backend
part one: design
i researched a few different skincare landing pages (mytopicals.com was a big inspo) to get the vibe.
this is what i landed on and i’m pretty happy with it. the landing page structure as a bit formulaic but it’s definitely clean and easy to navigate.
i LOVED the blue & orange but we ended up swapping that out later per the client’s request.
part two: client feedback & build
here is the final, deployed version of the website - i’m really proud of this ship for the budget/time that was alloted.
the logic was pretty simple: mostly just handling user input and file uploads in a form and then booking an esthetecian based on the user’s skin concerns.
it was a rapid build so the client opted to use 3rd party for emails/calandar scheduling from there, which was super easy to configure.
the plan is to scale up and out in lot’s of exiting ways, so it was fun to set up the build with the future in mind, but optimizing for current functionality needs
zero premium subscriptions purchased ;)
part 3: ship it & happy client :)
working with Silver was a great experience!
i’m going to continue working on Stonefaced on an as-needed hourly contractual basis.
fun lil build, excited to see how this project grows!
onto the next :)

main learnings:
- you have to build shit to learn shit
- if you’re testing a file upload system and vercel is throwing a max file limit error - maybe check the size of the file before you go on a bug/witch hunt that results in 3 different deleted branches hehehhehehheheh
- try to fix it yourself - but ask a better dev for help when you’ve truly hit a wall/you’re not learning anymore
- go the extra mile, always. you’ll never regret it
- invest in curating your taste: one mobbin subscription was added to the tool belt
